SPECIALISING IN PSORIASIS IN SINGAPORE
Psoriasis is a long-lasting, immune-driven inflammatory skin disease. However, beyond the skin, psoriasis is also associated with a total body inflammatory state that has been linked to obesity, cardiovascular disease and diabetes. Psoriasis can begin at any age but generally starts in adulthood. Due to its relationship with these serious health conditions, people suffering with psoriasis are at risk of reduced life expectancy.
There is no cure for psoriasis and treatments are usually based on anti-inflammatory and immune-suppressing medications. Dietary changes can improve psoriasis. I draw on emerging science that suggests that anti-inflammatory diets and diets targeting immune function can significantly reduce the development, severity and symptoms associated with this disease. Based on these findings, I build sustainable anti-inflammatory and immune-enhancing eating plans that reduce the symptoms of psoriasis and may even address the cause of the disease itself.
